A Compact Ground Fed UWB Antenna with Single Band Notch Characteristics

The proposed paper propounds a single band notched compact Ultra-Wide Band patch antenna. The proposed paper consists of two virtually ground fed structures with and without slot on ground plane. The proposed design initially covers the entire bandwidth of 3 GHz–11 GHz with VSWR less than 2. A slot is scratched in ground plane of antenna to minimize WiMAX interference. The notch characteristics is achieved for 3.2 GHz-3.9 GHz band by modified design. Moreover, a large gain of 11.8 dBi and omnidirectional pattern have been achieved by modified configuration. The parametric analysis of proposed antenna with and without slot is also performed by computer simulation technology (CST) tool and compare d with high-frequency structure simulator (HFSS).
