Computationally Assessing Diamond for use in Ultrafast Pulse Shapers

Solid state pulse shapers have uses in disciplines like ultrafast electro-optics, accelerator systems, and most importantly, Ultra-Wide Band radar applications. UWB radar technology continues to make in-roads in communication and vision sensing applications in commercial and military sectors. The performance of UWB systems is directly related to applied pulse duration and power. Solid state pulse shapers offer advantages over other pulse shaping technologies such as longer lifespan and resilience to heat, enabling high power operating points.
