3-D Wide-band Global Scattering Center Modeling Based on SBR and Clustering Techniques

In this paper, a method of 3-D wide-band global scattering center (SC) modeling has been proposed based on shooting and bouncing ray (SBR) and clustering techniques. Firstly, the whole 2-D angle domain is divided into small cells, in each of which a wide-band 3-D SC model has been created by combining Bhalla's method and Geometrical Theory of Diffraction (GTD) model where the frequency-dependence factor is calculated forward. Moreover, in order to promote the ability of frequency extrapolation, a SC location correction algorithm is used. Secondly, a spectral multiple manifold clustering algorithm is used to correlate the SCs from different angles to establish the global SC model. This method can give a more sparse representation than the method of narrow-band and non-global modeling.
