Design of In-Phase and Out-of-Phase Filtering Power Dividers with Thin-Film IPD Technology

This paper presents a kind of Ku-band filtering power divider(FPD) design with thin-film integrated passive device(IPD) technology and improved isolation structure. The Thin-Film IPD technology can well meet the greater requirements of processing accuracy and circuit layout in higher frequency band. Fourth-order quasi-elliptic filter is employed to realize good passband selectivity and out-of-band rejection. A compound structure including a GaAs-based resistor and an inductive stub is adopted to achieve good in-band isolation and matching. Phase difference can be changed by selecting different feeding point. Finally, two FPDs operating at 16 GHz are designed and adjusted.
