Suppressing Parasitic Oscillation by Using Delayed Reflections in a Multimode Gyrotron

Reflections may have a strong effect on mode-competition scenario in a multimode gyrotron. In this work, we study self-injection locking by delayed reflection of the multimode gyrotron with fixed Gaussian profile of the RF field. We demonstrate a possibility of expanding the domain of stable single-mode generation of the fundamental mode by suppressing the spurious modes.
