A new improved Bouc-Wen Model of Piezoelectric Ceramics Actuators

In this paper, in order to describe the asymmetric and input rate-dependent hysteresis behavior of piezoelectric ceramics actuators (PEAs), a new improved Bouc-Wen model (BWM) is proposed. First, a new input function is introduced to characterize the asymmetric hysteresis of the PEAs, and the frequency of input voltage is introduced into the hysteresis model to characterize the dynamic hysteresis of the PEAs. After that, the parameters of the improved BWM are identified through the differential evolution algorithm. Finally, the experimental results show that the output of the improved BWM can well describe the hysteresis properties of PEAs.
