Distributed load control approach with dynamic switching communication topologies

With consideration of great uncertainty on power generation side, load control can also be required to cut the peak and fill the valley. This paper proposes a distributed load control approach with switching communication topologies to tackle with load control problem under consumers’ participation. Since consumers’ participation state can alters as time period changes, the coordination topology can also switch to different state. The proposed distributed load control can ensure convergence in finite time horizon under switching topologies, and the minimum economic cost can also be achieved. As a result, the simulation on test system reveals that the proposed algorithm has good optimal control performance.
