Analysis of the Effect of Partial Transmission Element on the Performance of Fano Laser

In this paper, we investigate the effect of the partial transmission element on the output power dynamics of the Fano laser. By changing the radius of the holes in the photonic crystal waveguide, the reflection coefficient and symmetry of the Fano mirror change. Moreover, by adjusting partial transmission element radius, we show that it is possible to enhance the output power, without increasing the laser pumping current. It has been shown that by increasing the radius of the partial transmission element, the reflection rate in the Fano mirror is increased which enhances the laser output power from 25 mW to 400 mW.
