Spectrum Synthesizer Based on Two-Stage Transient Stimulated Raman Chirped-Pulse Amplification in KGW crystal

Increasing the wavelength of femtosecond laser pulses makes it possible to generate higher photon energy attosecond X-ray [1] or higher efficiency THz pulses [2] , and confine more energy in a single filament for gas sensing [3] . Transient Stimulated Raman Chirped Pulse Amplification (TSRCPA) provides an alternative to Optical Parametric Chirped-Pulse Amplification (OPCPA) for generating intense SWIR pulses, eliminating phase matching limitations, exceeding OPCPA efficiency and providing high temporal contrast. Thus, the amplification of chirped supercontinuum (SC) pulses in TSRCPA based on KGd(WO 4 ) 2 crystals, demonstrates an amplified Stokes bandwidth 10 times that of pumping, providing 145 fs pulses after compression [4] with a conversion efficiency of 55%.
