Wide-band Filtering Power Divider Using Coupled-Line

In this paper, a compact wideband filtering power divider (FPD) with nice performance is presented. The required power division function is realized by the introduced looped coupled-line structure. Moreover, three coupled-lines with different terminal conditions are used to introduce multiple transmission zeros (TZs) and transmission poles (TPs). To determine the initial design parameters, the design procedure is described as much detail as possible. A prototype is designed to verify the feasibility of the proposed FPD, the experimental simulation results show 43 % fractional bandwidth centered at 5.6 GHz with more than 17 dB in-band isolation and more than 20 dB return loss at both of the two output ports.
