Subjective environmental evaluation based on combination method of VR and EEG

At present, subjective evaluation of built environment is the most effective evaluation method. This method based on the complete completion of the environment. Therefore, the evaluation efficiency is low. The purpose of this study is to verify the feasibility of VR technology in subjective evaluation. Virtual reality technology can quickly complete the construction and simulation of a large amount of space and environment, and provide an immersive experience to short the design term. But the difference influence between virtual and real environments for people still needs to be scaled. To compare the subjective feelings of people on the space environment between two scenes, and to explore the relationship between the space environment and the people’s physiology or psychology under the effect of different scenes, this study set up a comparative experiment with a method of virtual and real environment evaluation to explore the changes of human subjective evaluation of environmental, and physiological and psychological response indicators of human perception to the environment. Based on the analysis of subjective questionnaire and EEG data, the correlation between the subjective evaluation of the spatial environment and physiological signals is discussed to realize the quantitative analysis method of environmental impact on human subjective perception. The research methods and conclusions can be used as subjective feedback in the stage of architectural space design, and accurately optimize the design of the architectural space environment.
