Optimal Day-ahead Scheduling of Electric Vehicles and Hydrogen Storage

With the shifting of global energy production away from fossil fuels, the usage of electric vehicles (EV) and renewable energy generation has increased rapidly. To solve the problem of grid-connected fluctuations of renewable energy and EV charging load, an optimal day-ahead scheduling of EVs and hydrogen storage is proposed in this paper. The trip characteristics of EVs are analyzed to calculate the charging load and the model of hydrogen storage station is established at first. The main focus of the second step is dispatching the hydrogen storage station and photovoltaic power plant to maximize the revenue of electricity retailers over a 24-h time horizon. The constraints include electricity selling price constraints, power limitations, and voltage stability within the network. The proposed scheduling model is applied on IEEE 33-node network to prove that it satisfies the consumption requirements of abundant photovoitaic power generation with significant economic benefits.
