Research on Wind-storage Joint Frequency Modulation Control Strategy Based on DFIG Frequency Modulation Capability

In view of the problem that DFIG's excessive participation in frequency modulation is not conducive to the safe and stable operation of the unit and insufficient inertia, firstly, by analyzing the frequency modulation process of DFIG in different states, using the LOGISTIC function, introducing the frequency modulation coefficient that characterizes the DFIG frequency modulation ability, and adjusting the active power of DFIG participating in frequency regulation in real time. On this basis, based on multi-input fuzzy control, a control strategy for inertia compensation for DFIG using energy storage is proposed. A four- machine two-area simulation model was built on the MATLAB/SIMULINK platform. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed control strategy can effectively avoid DFIG participating in frequency modulation excessively, maintain the safe and stability of the unit, and suppress the secondary frequency drop, which improves performance of DFIG frequency response capability.
