Security Challenges in Adopting Internet of Things for Smart Network

The immense growth of the Internet of things (IoT) has raised the demand of smart networks in the world today. The smart network connects all things to internet and provides a convenient environment for performing distributive computing in heterogeneous environment. It introduces many applications such as smart home, smart cities, and smart health monitoring devices and so on. The adoption of IoT for developing these smart networks is challenged due different vulnerabilities and attacks into these networks and thus is a point of concern for its adoption. This paper highlights the various security challenges and attacks in IoT network and provides details of different security defense mechanism in the field of IoT security. In this survey, our focus is to analyse the different defense mechanism with its limitation and provide a future outlook on securing IoT networks.
