Channel simulation analysis of seawater laser communication

In this paper, the absorption and scattering characteristics of pure seawater, phytoplankton and suspended particles in seawater channel are analyzed, and the effects of loss caused by beam expansion are studied. A seawater channel attenuation model based on bio-optical properties is established. Finally, according to the seawater channel attenuation model, the global sea area attenuation characteristics of different characteristics are analyzed by MATLAB simulation. It is concluded that the light attenuation of underwater communication depends mainly on the nature of the ocean itself. This provides a basis for the overall design of the underwater wireless optical communication system.
