Hypersonic and Space Target Echo Modeling for Multistatic Passive Radar

The paper presents an effective modeling method for echoes of hypersonic and space targets which is devoted to generation of simulated echoes for long-range multistatic passive radar dedicated for detection of very fast object like rockets, satellites and modern hypersonic missiles. As usually the signal is integrated for a long time for space and high-flying objects, the modeling should be accurate for long observation time. To improve the detection capability and also to achieve non-cooperative target identification the multistatic geometry is often considered. The proposed method allows for precise generation of modeled echoes in multistatic geometry to be performed. It should be kept in mind that not only range but also very high phase accuracy must be achieved for coherent multistatic processing.
