Preparation of barium titanate nanowires via electrospinning and the performance in stereolithographic 3D printing nanocomposites

The influence of applied voltage and sintering temperature on the morphology and structure of the prepared barium titanate nanowires (BT-NWs) through a modified double-needle electrospinning synthesis is explored. Then the prepared BT-NWs are applied to the stereolithography (SL) fabricating UV-curable resin matrix composites, its dielectric constant and the printing performance are investigated. The results of scanning electron microscope (SEM) demonstrate that the influence of different voltage on the morphology of BT -NWs is limited, but the aspect ratio of BT-NWs decreases with the increase of sintering temperature. At the same time, the x-ray diffraction (XRD) results demonstrate that the grain size of barium titanate increases with sintering temperature. The dielectric experiment of the composites demonstrate that the dielectric constant of the composite is enhanced significantly. The results of 3D printability test show that with the increase of solid loading, the UV -curing depth decreases, but the resin materials can still satisfy the requirement of the SL printing process.
