Estimating the Lifetime Model for The Commercial Concentrator III-V Triple-Junction Solar Cells Using The Lognormal Distribution

This paper suggests the lognormal distribution as an alternative lifetime model for the commercial concentrator IIIV triple-junction solar cells instead of Weibull distribution. Real data from a well-designed accelerated lifetime test is used. It is more likely that the data follow the lognormal distribution than the Weibull distribution. Nevertheless, the two models provide close estimations of the mean lifetime to failure (MTTF) of the concentrator solar cells under stress and nominal conditions. They both confirm the validity of this vital value.
