Reverse spiral shield transfer impedance modeling and measurement

The transfer impedance parameter of the various shield types has been described in the literature. This parameter can be used in determining the shielding effectiveness or used in more complex simulations like Bulk Current Injection test simulation. Following the industry needs authors derived the transfer impedance model for reverse spiral shield. Proposed model is based on previously described braided shield Kley model. Within this paper authors show the similarities between those two shielding types and describe necessary changes that needs to be applied to Kley model in order to acquire reverse spiral shield. Results presented in this work are validated using laboratory measurements.
