Pre-detection of the Probable Occurrence of a Cardiovascular Disease Through Data Analysis using Fuzzy Logic

The purpose of this study is to create a fuzzy logic algorithm that could automatically assess various sets of medical data in order to generate a pre-diagnosis of the probable occurrence of a cardiovascular disease in a tested individual. This is based on a specific set of factors or attributes found in the dataset used in this study guided by the assessment of experts who conducted the tests of the data set's origin. This can be assistive in environments were a significant number of datasets has to be interpreted quickly and automatically, improving and possibly leading towards the elimination of the need for manual evaluation and assessment of the numeric values concerning one's health status. The task was achieved through the use of MATLAB software and Microsoft Excel. The matching rate between the dataset and the completed fuzzy logic output in this study achieved 97.7
