Research of Dielectric Properties of the Mixtures of Petroleum Transformer Oils and Silicone Liquids

The electrical resistance of mixtures of transformer dielectric liquids - petroleum oils and silicone liquid was studied. It is shown that the dependence of the resistivity of mixtures on the concentration of one of the components, as well as the nature of this dependence differs from the dependence corresponding to the van Beek formula. It is noted that at certain concentrations of silicone liquid in petroleum oil or petroleum oil in silicone liquid, significant fluctuations in the parameters of mixtures can be observed with a slight change in the concentration of components. It is assumed that as the result of mixing these dielectric liquids, colloidal formations can be formed that affect the electrical properties of the mixture.
