The Design of a 43GHz-67GHz All-Solid-State Broadband Source Module

In this article, a 43GHz-67GHz all-solid-state broadband source module is presented. The source module adopts a cascade of multi-function circuits. The tripler features four barriers anti-parallel Schottky diodes in a balanced configuration to enhance the power handling capabilities and the harmonic suppression. The low-pass and band-pass filters are used in the tripler to reject unnecessary clutters. A broadband divider/combiner and an equalizer are designed to compensate the performance of the power amplifier. Finally, the measured results show that from 43 GHz to 67 GHz, the minimum output power is 23dBm, meanwhile, the flatness and the harmonic suppression are better than 0.7dB and 37dBc, respectively.
