Dual Slant Polarized Omnidirectional Antenna

This paper proposes a streamlined, structurally robust DC grounded ±45° slanted polarized antenna having reduced gain variation along its omnidirectional pattern. Four angular slots circling around the coaxial outer conductors constitute slant polarizations. Simulations demonstrate that the antenna bandwidth ranges from 2.56GHz to 2.78 GHz which is equivalent to 8.1%, Azimuthal gain ripple variations are less than ±0.14 dB. The cross-pol are below 14dB relative to the Co-Pol for the entire bandwidth with port isolation of 24 dB.
