Indoor Environmental Signal Strength Calculation based on Finite Difference Time Domain Method

With the rapid development of mobile communication technology, the market scale of wireless network equipment in indoor scene is expanding day by day, and the requirements of users for indoor signal coverage quality are also higher and higher. It is of great significance to analyze the indoor signal propagation characteristics and signal coverage by calculating the indoor signal field strength. Therefore, this paper proposes a method to model the geometric information and electromagnetic parameter information of the indoor environment based on the structure array. The Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) method is a numerical solution method for calculating electromagnetic fields. This paper uses the FDTD method to calculate the field strength of the indoor environment, analyzes the performance of the FDTD method, and studies the influence of the excitation source on the indoor field strength distribution. And it also uses FDTD method to calculate the field strength when the geometric information of the indoor propagation model has errors. The experimental results show that the method proposed in this paper can effectively calculate the indoor field strength.
