Microstrip Antenna Cross-Polarized Radiations, Kai Fong Lee, and Recent Insightful Observations

This article aims at looking into the cross polarization aspects of micro-strip patch from its fundamental understanding which was initiated more than three decades ago through dedicated research and passionate leadership of Kai Fong Lee. A couple of his fundamental works and their backgrounds have been critically analyzed. In addition, a few recent works on cross-polarization mitigation techniques with new scientific insights have been critically revisited. They endorse Lee's original observation with deeper insight and also add a new scientific basis for interpreting the cross-polar phenomena.
