A survey on Electromagnetic Radiation based Remote Sensing Applications to Agriculture

Remote sensing is the process of acquiring information on Earth's terrestrial and aquatic surfaces through reflected electromagnetic energy. The channels that handle the sensor are called platforms that include ground-based, aircrafts and satellites. Remote sensing application includes agriculture, forestry, environmental monitoring, soil degradation, oceanography, geology, etc. The tools such as panchromatic sensors (PANs), multispectral sensors and hyper spectral sensors are used because they find out the chemical and physical composition of objects. This paper gives a summary of remote sensing, their species and applications that encompass agriculture in various disciplines.
