Experimental Study on Blade-casing Rubbing Considering Thermal Effect

Thermal effect is one of the most significant phenomena of rubbing fault, and seriously affects the dynamic characteristics of the rotor system. In this paper, the blade-casing rubbing experimental device with multi-position temperature measurement was built to analyze the rotor dynamics considering the thermal effect. First, the static heating experiment was carried out to simulate the influence of the frictional thermal effect on the blade during the rubbing process. The relationship between the blade temperature and the heating time was obtained, and the temperature field of the blade during the rubbing process can be obtained approximately. Then the dynamic rubbing experiment was carried out. Multiple PTIOO thermistor sensors were fixed on the blade, and the temperature signals were transmitted to the acquisition through a collector ring. The vibration of the shaft was obtained by the eddy-current sensors. The experimental results show that the temperature change has a threshold effect, and the magnitude of the temperature change is positively correlated with the intrusion of the blade to the casing, which can provide a theoretical basis and experimental support for the numerical simulation of the thermal effect of the actual blade-casing rubbing.
