Research on the application of mechanical characteristics of GIS disconnector in the equipment status evaluation

The number of faults caused by mechanical deterioration of disconnector in GIS equipment increases gradually. Aiming at the current situation that no test methods and test devices for quantitative detection of mechanical characteristics of disconnector in GIS equipment when put into operation, a test device was developed and verified by physical test in field. Three detection methods and test results can reflect the change of state characteristics are analyzed. It is considered that the measurement of motor current, output shaft rotation speed and operating torque, which one or more can reflect the change of the mechanical characteristics, which can locate the defect position of the disconnector, and finally give the analysis and maintenance suggestions as the basis for the diagnosis of the disconnector fault. The mechanical characteristics detection methods and threshold recommendation of the disconnector in GIS are given by referring to the condition-based maintenance rules of the circuit breaker and combining with the actual situation of the disconnector. The research and implementation of the device can provide a scientific basis for the state maintenance of the disconnector, earthing switch and other equipment in GIS.
