Building integrated solar thermal systems: some few successful examples

the building sector is a significant part of the energy consumption in the World. Using renewable energies to supply thermal and electrical needs in a building is an efficient, clean and sustainable solution; the utilization of solar systems is not always realized without a negative architectural impact mainly for thermal ones. One needs to develop techniques that better integrate solar collectors within the building envelope improving the aesthetic appearance in the most cost effective way. This paper presents some examples of building integrated solar thermal systems.
