Determination of Design Parameters of Fiber-Optic Pressure Converter of Attenuator-Reflective Type

The design of a fiber-optic pressure sensor of attenuator-reflective type for measuring tongue thrusting on the palate while applied in therapeutic dentistry to diagnose various deviations in the oral cavity, has been presented; on the basis of geometrical structures explaining the intensity modulation process by means of attenuator and mirror, the conversion function for the sensor optical system to determine its design parameters has been derived.
