Mathematical Modeling of Differential Electric Drives

This article discusses two options for using kinematic connections: with a double-motor electric drive and a single-motor electric drive with a differential gear. The structural diagrams of single-motor and double-motor differential electric drives are considered in detail for a complete assessment of the system, both in static and dynamic modes of operation. The analysis of the static operating modes of the differential electric drive is described, in particular calculation of such characteristics as: natural, mechanical and control characteristics, and describing the mode of maintaining a given constant speed of the output shaft of the differential gear.
