A Modified Predictive Current Control with Sensitivity Analysis for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

Predictive Current Control (PCC) method ensures fast response in permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) servo systems. However, this method suffers from disturbances such as motor parameter inaccuracies and inverter nonlinearity a lot, which may cause steady state error. Also, the delay of the digital control system based on DSP may deteriorate the system's performance. In this paper, a modified PCC method is put forward with a feedforward integral compensation eliminating the steady state error and a modified sampling method called dual sampling and dual PWM duty ratio update (DSDU) dealing with the time delay. Moreover, an in-depth study on the sensitivity of the PCC method to parameters is theoretically analyzed and how the system's stability is affected by the modified PCC is proved. In the end, simulation results are provided and more insights about this theory are given by analyzing the simulation results.
