GPR Condition Survey of the Fill Slope of the River Dam

This paper presents the results of a survey of the slope of an earthen dam using GPR. The purpose of the survey was to determine local dam zones with high humidity. The survey was carried out using SFCW GPR along the entire slope of the dam. It is shown that the use of SFCW GPR allows us to determine the physical structure of the fill slope of the dam, including the decompression of the soil that has arisen under the influence of water. The results of radar sensing were presented by visualizing the amplitude and phase spectrum of reflected probing signals.
