Planar Structure with High Spectrally-Selective Emittance for Passive Radiative Cooling

A spectrally selective radiative cooling structure is proposed with improved emissivity. The structure is optimized by using alternating high- and low refractive index layers. Almost 99% emissivity is achieved in the atmospheric transparency window.
