Lithium Niobate Direction Coupler Modulator for Linearization of Analog Optical Signal Transmission

A lithium niobate high frequency direction coupler modulator was studied at the lineariazed regime of operation. The influence of the modulator bias was analyzed. The third order intermodulation products suppression on more than 20 dB was experimentally demonstrated. OIP3 of more than 12 dBm was achieved which gave SFDR3 more than 120 dB/Hz
