Application of complex technology for monitoring and vibration protection of industrial equipment and analysis of its efficiency

The Paper is devoted to author's complex technology for monitoring and vibration protection of industrial equipment that consists of method of diagnostics via remote strain gauge analysis and vibration isolation system with isolators with quasi-zero stiffness and dynamic absorbers. According to author's new method of diagnostics dynamic forces on supports of equipment is measured in real time by strain gauge sensors. Than spectrum of forces is calculated and due to developed mathematical model the exact coordinates of the detected defects can be obtained. An experimental prototype is constructed and successfully tested. So, defects can be detected at earlier time and with higher reliability. But if there is a defect than cannot be fixed immediately than bettering of vibration state should be provided. According to provided analysis the best vibration isolation properties can be obtained by vibration isolators with quasi-zero stiffness. Application of various types of installation of industrial equipment is analyzed. Their effect on overall level of vibration and dynamic transmitted force to the foundation is calculated. The best results were obtained at using vibration isolators with quasi-zero stiffness, supplemented by a dynamic vibration damper. It is assessed how vibration isolation system reduces the dynamic loads in the equipment and increases the durability of individual components. In particular, it was calculated that the bearing life is significantly increased. So, complex technology for monitoring and vibration protection of industrial equipment provides high efficiency.
