Architecture of a 100-ns LTD Generator Based on a New Type of Capacitor-Switch Assemblies

The paper describes the architecture of an LTD generator with a pulse rise time of ~100 ns and initial energy of up 50 MJ for high energy density physics applications. From numerical computations, requirements are formulated on the electrical parameters of capacitor-switch assemblies as LTD drivers for this type of generators.
