RWH: Assessing Optimum Cistern Size Based on K-Means and Crowd Computing Approach

All living beings on earth need water to survive, it is the most essential substances on earth and otherwise life on earth seems to be impossible. Past several years, India is dealing with the worst ever crises of water scarcity. As per the NASA earth observatory images, sixty-five percent of the country's reservoirs were running out arid, because of less rainfall as well as due to the negligence on the usage of water. There is need to improve the water resource management that is supplemented with rainwater harvesting (RWH) within the catchments so as to improve the capacity of the ground water. The objective of this paper is to provide an efficient method to measure the optimum capacity of the cistern for storing the mismanaged rainwater. Capacity of the Cistern is computed using k-means and crowd computing based K-Means algorithm, for which the performance of the crowd computing based k-means has contributed a promising results.
