Current Follower based Current Mode Filters

An innovative topology to acknowledge a filter based on a current follower is addressed in this research work. The proposed circuit topology utilizes only a single current follower, with two resistors and two capacitors. By changing the components of the circuit, it can realize the filters such as low pass filter, high pass filter, and bandpass filter. The output is available at high impedance node, therefore it can be easily used for cascading of the circuits as it does not cause any loading effect. The presented topology is substantiated by simulation studies using 0.18μm CMOS technology parameters.
