Method for Calculating Performance of All-Optical Linear System of Transmitting and Processing Information

In this paper the authors propose the accurate analytical method for calculating performance of all-optical linear system of transmitting and processing information for the first time. It also is considered the practical application of this method for the example for the next generation communication network switching element that has been previously developed by authors. In addition the method takes into account the signal delay at the interface between media, transients in the control circuits and the signal delay due to passing through the medium. The paper also presents the equivalent electrical circuit of the next-generation photon switch for the first time. This way allows us to take into account the influence of parasitic inductors and capacitances of the structure.
