Fragments Awareness Based Virtual Network Mapping Scheme of Elastic Optical Networks

As virtual networks services emerge increasingly with higher requirement of great supporting ability, the issue of spectrums fragments is unavoidable of the Elastic Optical Networks (EON), especially under heaven services burdens. Aimed to solve this problem, this paper proposes a fragments awareness based virtual network mapping scheme of elastic optical network. In this article, the fragments awareness model of virtual optical network is established, which includes available bandwidth and spectrum fragment degree together. Moreover, the fragments awareness based virtual network mapping algorithm is proposed with detailed procedures. Test results show that the proposed approach is able to improved services supporting ability of EON.
