Design and Implementation of an Experimental System for UAV Weight and COG

The IoT integrated experimental system for the measurement of UAV weight and center of gravity (COG) is designed and a prototype is made to meet the needs of interdisciplinary multi-course integrated experiment and improve the practice and application ability of software and hardware R&D. The system collects the weight of the UAV by three sets of pressure sensors, and is converted by HX711 A/D converter, and then processed by MCU and connected to the host via USB serial port, wireless ZigBee and Wi-Fi, etc. The data are calculated and processed by the upper computer software system to measure and calculate the weight and COG of the UAV. The system can provide accurate weight and COG parameters for the UAV design. Through the tests, the system has a higher stability and accuracy. Supporting experiments have improved students' interest in learning and met the needs of teaching, innovation and entrepreneurship.
