Accurate Error-Voltage Determination for Calibrating 1000 V Inductive Voltage Dividers

To set up a new 1000 V inductive voltage divider (IVD) at PTB, an accurate voltage comparator (VC) with an uncertainty of below 10
^-9
of input at power frequencies is required. In the following, the operation and required components of the VC are discussed along with a model for its self-calibration. Preliminary results indicate that sub-nV/V uncertainties are attainable at power frequencies.
