Investigation of Environmental Effects on the Performance of Solar PV Modules

Now-a-days stipulation of energy all over the world is increasing and different types of renewable energy have been developed. But among all, the photovoltaic (PV) system has been proven to be the best energy generating source. The solar energy conserved by solar cell doesn't produce any kind of pollution and has negligible side effect. But the environmental factor like wind, dust, humidity, heat, moisture, etc affects the efficiency of power generated by the solar cell. These are the disturbances that act as challenge for the solar cells. So, the objective of this paper is to examine the PV system which is affected by factors like: dust deposition, presence of moisture (on it) and the changes of environmental heat. All the important parameters - current and voltage - have been noted down and compared by using the characteristic curve. The differences between energy generation with and without the disturbances have been observed.
