Design of Automated Seed Sowing Robot for BT Cotton Seed

Automation is a growing trend across multiple sectors, and agriculture is no exception. Traditionally, agriculture requires numerous repetitions and hard labor with considerably low speed for planting, irrigation, fertilization, monitoring, and harvesting a large area of crops. But with today's development in technologies, a robot is capable of performing these processes with less dependency on human labor. After taking into consideration, several problems faced by the cotton cultivators in India: non-availability of labor, high wage rate and inadequate technical know-how, a part of the solution to these issues lies into automating an important agricultural activity is realized i.e. seed sowing. This paper is progress on the research about the chassis of the automated seed sowing robot. And now it includes the design and the working procedure of the seed sowing mechanism, and it's various components involved for the successful sowing of the BT cotton seed by the Robot.
