Modeling and Development of Position Sensors Based on Multiferroic Layered Structures

The paper is devoted to modeling and development of position sensors based on multiferroic layered structures. The multiferroic layered structures is made from a bidomain lithium niobate single crystal with a Y + 128° cut and amorphous metal of Metglas. The value of ME resonant voltage coefficient was of 920 V/(cm·Oe). ME multiferroic sensors can successfully competition with induction sensors and Hall effect sensors used in the modern automotive industry. Increasing the sensitivity of ME multiferroic sensors is an relevant task, the solution of which will significantly improve the parameters of the proposed sensors, for example, reduce weight and dimensions, and increase reliability.
