Voltage Stability Analysis of Kosovo Power System Local Area

This paper presents voltage stability analysis of Kosovo power system local area including the 35kV overhead power line from Substation(SS) Prizreni 110/35/10kV to SS Dragashi 35/10kV. In this work, the maximum load capability limit is determined using several static analysis methods. Initially, the maximum limit is calculated using the P-V and Q-V curve methods. Then in order to find out the causes of voltage instability a modal analysis is performed to identify the critical buses and branches using their nodal and branch participation factors.
