Field Programmable Analog Array for Low Frequency Application of OTA-C Low Pass Filters

This work presents a rectangular architecture for a field programmable analog array (FPAA) for the implementation of continuous-time filters. The proposed FPAA is designed using the operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) as the building block for the configurable analog block (CAB) of the FPAA. The structure allows the implementation of OTA-C elliptic lowpass filters using symmetric balanced structure with reconfigurable filter order, gain, bandwidth, and notch frequency for elliptic filters. Simulations in LTspice using 90 nm CMOS technology were used to compare the results of simulations acquired for the fourth-order filter implemented on proposed FPAA to those from stand alone circuit simulation.
