Research on the compilation of guidelines for rail transit connection in Mountainous Cities

The guidelines for urban rail transit connection mainly guide the installation and design of transfer facilities between urban rail transit and other modes of transportation. With the rapid development of urban rail construction, the planning and design of the connecting facilities between urban rail transit and other modes of transportation is particularly important. Based on the current situation that no relevant design guidance has been issued in mountain cities, taking Chongqing as an example, the traffic connection guidelines for new and expanded/rebuilt urban rail transit stations have been prepared. Classifying the stations reasonably, sorting out the design key points of connection between each traffic system and urban rail transit according to different types of stations. At the same time, the guidelines put forward the calculation formula of the scale of the traffic connection facilities and give more accurate guidance of the scale matching from the quantitative point of view. After the release of the trial version, combined with practical application cases, the scientific nature and popularization of the guidelines are proved.
