The Design of the Challenge Experimental Course of “Information Security System R & D” under the Background of Emerging Engineering Education

Currently, there is a lot of emphasis on emerging engineering education. Under this background, we present a novel challenging experimental course, Information Security System R & D. Specifically, in this paper, we discuss the related course construction background, propose the teaching system and implementation plan of this course, and analyze its effectiveness and innovation. Based on subject competitions, the teaching philosophy of this course embodies student-centric, interest-driven, and project-oriented learning. The proposed course builds a practical teaching platform for the development of information security systems, which provides a valuable reference for the construction of cross-disciplinary teaching platforms in the context of emerging engineering education. More important, the proposed course gradually guides students in developing a practical, innovative, and complete information security system, which explores the potential of implementing “the plan for educating and training outstanding engineers 2.0”.
